Much of her inspiration comes from a love of her native New Hampshire land and seascapes. The change in seasons has influenced her interpretive, loose style as a plein aire painter. “I rarely work from photographs. Working “en plein aire” (French for painting outdoors), is solidly satisfying to me as a painter. Florals are my second love. From delicate to regal, from soft to bold, there are infinite traits to paint in flowers. My work with expressionistic portraits, which has been ongoing for the past 25 years, continues to intrigue me. It’s great to be in the art world. I hope that people experience a sense of place in my work, and enjoy what I refer to as a “fourth dimension”, which is a feeling. Thank you for supporting the arts.”
